What is MET?
My Employability Test (MET) is India's premier Employability Test Tool for fresh graduates, Tech Graduates, Engineers and Management Students recognised by many companies. MET gives candidates a detailed feedback on their employability quotient broken up with each aptitude skills, workplace competencies and Personality traits which helps the candidate to identify the functional role for their first jobs.

What does the MET cover?
MET is an test which covers six aptitude skills, seven workplace competencies and fifteen different personality traits.

Is there negative marking in MET?
Yes, there is negative marking for some of the skill based questions. It is important for the candidate to evaluate and decide how confident they would be to answer the question and avoid taking chances to avoid negative marking. There is no negative marking in the competency and personality tests and this will be informed before the test.

Can I take the MET from home?
Yes. MET can be taken from home or a cyber cafe. It is mandatory to have a webcam based computer to take the met for online monitoring.

Can I give the MET again?
Yes. You can give the met again after 6 months of your last attempt. You may give the MET a maximum of 2 times in a calendar year post your first attempt.

I am in 3rd year of Engineering. Can I take the MET?
YES. MET is a diagnostic test and very useful for every student before getting into their final year of college. The detailed employability test analysis and suggestive guidance to select right functional roles or be it your specialised subject for post-graduation studies. This will help you to prepare yourself for the campus placement event. The detailed employability report helps you understand your strengths / weaknesses with your areas of improvement and guidance on how to improve on the required skills for the industry and jobs.

Is there an eligibility criteria to take MET?
There is no eligibility criteria to take the MET. You should not have given the MET in the last 6 months. There is no percentage or educational qualifications criteria to take MET.

How would I get my MET score?
MET scores are displayed as soon as you complete the scores and can be accessed post the exam with your login and password sent to your registered email id. Also check your junk folder. In case you find the email in Junk Folder, please mark the email is NON SPAM to ensure that you continue to get the emails from MET in your inbox.

My MET scores are low. What should I do if my MET scores are low?
Do not panic! Please go through detailed employability analysis to follow the tips to improve your scores. After you have gone through the feedback, we recommend you train yourself using recommended books and reading material suggested to prepare yourself better. You may re-attempt the MET after 6 months.

My MET scores are good, will I get a chance to interview?
Well Done! MET works around the year in helping their candidates to get jobs in various industries like banking, retail, IT, ITeS and other Engineering sectors across the countries. This will informed to you over email and SMS as soon as you are shortlisted by one of these corporates for a job interview. Please check your email regularly (including spam folder).

Are there job opportunities even if I score low in one of the sections of MET?
Most companies have different criteria on different sections of the test. While some companies look for high scores in some sections, others might choose a different section. Please read your detailed employability report thoroughly for suggestive feedback.

At what score will I get a job opportunity?
Apart from the "right" scores, at a given point of time, job opportunity depends on a variety of factors which include:

  • Companies Hiring
  • Area/region that company is hiring
  • Specific qualification/eligibility of the company currently hiring
MET will actively reach out to you over email and SMS as soon as there is a job opportunity for you.

How long is my MET score valid?
Your score is valid for a period of 2 years.

I cannot login to my account using the user name and password I received in my email. What should I do?
Please check if you are typing the email and password correctly, if caps lock is enabled, etc. The password and email ID are case sensitive - hence please use the right cases. If you are still not able to access your account, please go to forgot password and reset the password.

How do I pay for MET detailed employability analysis?

You can pay using the following options:
  • Online Payment : Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking

Can I pay through Cheque?
Sorry, cheques are not accepted as a mode of payment for MET. You can pay using a Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ demand draft / Cash Deposit at Axis Bank branch.
